Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credit

Intended Audience

This activity was developed for healthcare professionals seeking information regarding facial aesthetics and nonsurgical cosmetic procedures.

Statement of Need

The increasing desire of patients seeking aesthetic improvements to the chin and perioral regions of the face, combined with a dearth of data to support the use of nonsurgical modalities has created an unmet educational need.

Current education fails to offer a comprehensive examination of all available options related to chin reflation and often does not challenge clinicians to consider the overall appearance of the perioral region as a means to achieving outstanding results for the patient. This activity will provide participants with the knowledge and tools necessary for immediate implementation of a global nonsurgical approach to chin reflation into the clinical setting.

Description

To address the identified educational need, Dr. Kent Remington, a renowned expert in aesthetic medicine, will provide advanced instruction on the evolving use of nonsurgical approaches to chin reflation. This initiative consisting of web-based programming and live, regional events will provide participants with didactic information regarding the effective assessment of current approaches to chin reflation, and an in-depth description of potential alternative therapeutic modalities, focusing on the use of dermal fillers and neuromodulators. Video case studies and lectures from Dr. Remington will illustrate an advanced injection technique and offer insight to patient interactions and the effective use of before and after photographs to establish expectations. Any expected differences in therapeutic modalities will be provided in an effort to ensure safe and effective clinical decision-making. Successful completion of the activity includes material review and a post-test.
